Industrial Poles and Masts use a state-of-the-art computer design and quoting system that was designed by our Structural Engineer, John Duncan. With more than 30 years’ experience in the steel industry, John has been with the company since 1985. During this time thousands of quotes and designs have been prepared – and delivered to our clients within 24 hours from the time of enquiry.
This incredible computerised designed service (CAD and Inventor), ensures that all Industrial Poles and Masts products meets the SANS 10225-1991 design criteria. This enables André and Christiaan Homan, our Project Managers, to be in full control of a client’s project. Adrian Meyer, our Marketing Director, also uses the system to provide the best possible service and feedback to Metro Municipalities and electrical contractors on an hourly basis.
The team at Industrial Poles and Masts, under leadership of Jaco Meyer (Head of Production Department) ensures the highest standards of quality control. Strict control checks gets done throughout - from the moment that the raw material is ordered, until the ordered poles and masts or other order is offloaded in the client’s store. Wall thicknesses are also guaranteed to be as per our design calculation, especially at the access opening which is the weakest part of any streetlight or traffic signal pole. All anti-twist joints on streetlight poles and outreach arms are jig drilled to the nearest 0,5mm. The same production method is applied to the column slip joints when required to do so. All access and cable entry openings are cut out with an extremely low temperature using PLASMA ARC 220 V DC Current, ensuring that material properties are not adversely affected.
Industrial Poles and Masts are proud to announce that the company has been certified with the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 The company also adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993 and is registered with all the industry statutory bodies. Industrial Poles and Masts and its team have an obsession with maintaining control and consistent quality, to such a degree that all poles and masts are produced strictly according to our client’s specific requirements and specifications.
At Industrial Poles and Masts we believe that each pole produced for a client’s lighting scheme project is not only aesthetically pleasing, but that each one is an exact replica of the next to create the symmetry and harmony that Industrial Poles and Masts are renowned for.
